AfriForum’s Delmas branch used more than 40 bags of tar (i.e. about two tonnes) to fix potholes in this town as part of the organisation’s #YourTown campaign. AfriForum branch members and volunteers fixed potholes at Laerskool Delmas. The Delmas branch has already used more than 500 bags of tar (about 25 tonnes) to fix potholes.
“The fixing of potholes is a priority for us and we want to encourage schools and residents who experience similar problems to contact their local AfriForum branch,” says Bronwen Pretorius, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for the Highveld.
“The branch will launch similar sustainable projects at among others the local KFC and Reformed Church in the week of 23 November. If we work together as a community to solve our problems, we can achieve so much more success,” says Carel Botha, Chairperson of AfriForum’s Delmas branch.
AfriForum encourages Delmas residents to join their local AfriForum branch and help make a real difference in their community. SMS your name to 45350 (R1) if you want to join.
