AfriForum plans to take Mangaung Metro to court for this.
The Mangaung Metro increased electricity consumers’ accounts:
- The tariff for household use has been changed from 1 to 350 units to 1 to 150 units.
- The tariff for consumption of more than 351 units has been changed to 151 units.
After Centlec applied to Nersa on behalf of the municipality for a 14,59% increase, they adjusted the tariff with 23,78% without approval.
