AfriForum in cooperation with Solidarity Helping Hand have launched an emergency box project to help communities in need after the unrest that occurred in parts of South Africa last week. The two organisations have been inundated with requests for help from inter alia individuals, homes and places of care.
We ask the public to donate essential goods to their local AfriForum branch. Goods of more than 800 kg were already taken to certain areas over the past weekend to help people in need. Local AfriForum branches will then take the goods to Helping Hand’s Josef Silo’s from where it will be distributed to KwaZulu-Natal and other areas.
Visit www.noodfonds.co.za to see the complete list of essential goods that can be placed in the emergency boxes, as well as a list of local AfriForum branches where the boxes can be delivered to.
