AfriForum’s Lydenburg branch on 18 May 2021 installed a new geyser at Huis Kanabas for the elderly in this town.
This project follows after the previous geyser broke and the Thaba Chweu Local Municipality failed to replace the unit. It left the residents with only cold water.
“It is unacceptable that our senior citizens were left like this in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and the cold winter lying ahead. That is why we replaced the unit,” says Erich Venter, chairman of the AfriForum branch in Lydenburg.
