AfriForum’s Teks branch in Secunda kicked off the first phase of their pothole repair project on Saturday 6 March.
More than 1,5 tonnes of tar have already been used to fill up potholes. Ronnie Rudolf and Rudie van der Merwe, AfriForum branch members, weighed in and filled up potholes at the Duck Pond traffic light.
“We want to encourage the community to get involved and help us to fill up the other potholes in the town. As management, we will communicate the relevant dates to the public,” says Jan du Plessis, Chairperson of AfriForum Teks branch.
“We want to thank various businesses and people for their contributions in making everything possible. These include Seeff, Mass Hire, Dr Cobus Visser, Trichard Crushers and the community for the delicious sausage rolls and cold drinks. Without you, it would not have been possible,” says Bronwen Pretorius, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for the Highveld.
