On 1 October 2018, the AfriForum branch in Roodepoort – in conjunction with M&P Recycling – removed illegal advertisements, posters and pamphlets that obstructed the visibility of traffic and other municipal signs in this town.

According to Fanie Naude, Chairperson of AfriForum’s Roodepoort branch, the vehicles and equipment they require is provided at no cost and will again be available in future should the project be undertaken again.

“We truly feel hopeful when we see how businesses in the community become involved and make their services available towards the success of the #YourTown campaign,” says Dewet Ungerer, AfriForum’s Assistant Coordinator for Gauteng South.
