Thirty farm attacks have already been recorded in South Africa since the beginning of February 2017, in which eleven people were brutally murdered. Five people have been murdered within the last 24 hours in two separate attacks which occurred in Mpumalanga and Limpopo respectively.
“How many more people will have to lose their lives in this country before something decisively is done? It seems that Government is not prepared to protect citizens,” says Ian Cameron, AfriForum’s Head of Community Safety.
Cameron also says that communities should start protecting themselves and that the law allows enough room to do this.
