On Saturday 24 July 2021 AfriForum’s Springs neighbourhood watch completely opened their hearts in the cold weather. After the neighbourhood watch’s visibility and crime prevention patrol, the neighbourhood watch members handed out 25 blankets on their own initiative to people on the street to protect them against the piercing cold.
“Not only do these individuals protect their communities but they also open their hearts in times of need. This is evidence that every aspect will be focused on when you become involved with an organised structure such as AfriForum,” says Dewet Ungerer, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for the East Rand.
AfriForum’s Springs branch will continue to serve the community in any way they possibly can with patrols and charity work.
