AfriForum’s East Rand branches donate hand sanitisers and cleaning agents

These past two weeks AfriForum’s branches in the East Rand donated hand sanitiser and cleaning agents worth around R20 000 to centres in the area. These agents were donated to Elim rehabilitation centre in Kempton Park, Remme-Los, a self-help centre for people with disabilities in Germiston, and Potters Haven children’s home in Springs. This donation forms part of a bigger donation received by AfriForum from an anonymous donor.

“Many organisations are weighed down by huge financial pressure due to COVID-19. Organisations like these are battling and are receiving less donations than usual. It is thus important to support one another during these times – especially because we are going into the festive season. Every little bit helps to bring relief and a little happiness,” says Stephanus Blignault, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for the East Rand.
