Members of the AfriForum neighbourhood watch in Benoni has just completed the second phase of its formal training. The training comprises the organisation and execution of effective patrols, scene and incident management as well as an explanation of all legal aspects with which neighbourhood watch members may be confronted.

“Not only neighbourhood watch members benefit from the training; the broader community also does. Neighbourhood watches are there to protect and safeguard the community in cooperation with the local Police. To do just that, every members must have the necessary knowledge,” says Jannie Bezuidenhout, Chairman for Safety at AfriForum’s Benoni branch.
