The civil rights organisation AfriForum on 8 February 2018 elected a new management for its Germiston branch. This follows after AfriForum presented various information sessions to the community from 2017 on the role its branches play to improve communities.
The new branch management consists of Piet de Wit (Chairperson), David Deysel (Deputy Chairperson), Harry Fourie (Treasurer), Fransie Vosloo (Secretary), Dawid Smit (Environmental Affairs), André van Niekerk (Local Government Affairs) and Chris Smith (Safety Chairperson).
“We are proud to be part of AfriForum and are ready to address the problems in our community,” says Piet de Wit.
“A strong management was elected and stands at the ready to tackle various problems. The community is already eager to become part and make a difference. AfriForum looks forward to addressing among others poor service delivery, safety issues and environmental problems in this town,” says Marie Naude, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for Gauteng South.
AfriForum appeals to the community of Germiston to become part of the local branch.
