The AfriForum branch in Cape Town North on 16 March 2017 aided The Greater Tygerberg Partnership’s (GTP’s) community clean-up project at the Tielman Marais Park in Bellville in cooperation with Mould Empower Serve (MES), EbieG Skips, Voortrekker Road Corridor Improvement District (VRCID), learners of the Hoërskool D.F. Malan, as well as various volunteers from the community.

AfriForum sponsored cool drinks and black bags for the initiative.

“It is important for various role-players to become involved with these initiatives to subsequently empower our community,” says Tommy van Zyl, Chairperson of AfriForum’s Cape Town North branch.

“Projects such as this ensure the park’s sustainability,” adds Johandré van Zyl, AfriForum’s Assistant Coordinator for the Western Cape.
