The civil rights organisation AfriForum on 12 August 2020 established a branch in Fourways. This branch is already planning on establishing a neighbourhood watch in the near future.
The branch management consists of Wayne Pienaar (Chairperson), Kobus de Bruyn (Vice-chairperson), Tsitsi Sekgobela (Treasurer) and Toni Wagenaar (Secretary).
“The newly established branch will focus on solving problems that residents experience. The branch management also wants to work with the community to launch sustainable projects. If the community stands together and work hard, they can create a better environment for all,” says Dewet Ungerer, AfriForum’s District Coordinator for the West Rand.
The branch management wants to encourage the community to become involved with AfriForum’s Fourways branch: SMS “Fourways” to 45342 (R1).
