On 30 May 2019 AfriForum’s Roodepoort neighbourhood watch in conjunction with other safety institutions namely the Florida CPF, HMA High Risk Security, Bhekani Abantu Services, Moks VIP and Protection Services, Apcan Security Group and the SAPS conducted a raid for drugs in Florida and surrounds.
A large number of drugs were confiscated and two alleged drug dealers were subsequently taken into custody. A continued search for this type of crime is undertaken by the named interested parties to deny criminals access to the area.
“AfriForum’s Roodepoort branch is proud to be part of a successful safety network which contributes to a safer community,” says Fanie Naudé, Chairperson for AfriForum’s Roodepoort branch.
“This is a good example of different safety organisations joining forces for a communal goal: to intensify a community’s defensibility. Cooperation is the key to success,” says Hillel Coetzer, AfriForum’s Head of Safety for the Northern region.
