The civil rights organisation AfriForum is making an urgent plea to all parents to actively become involved at governing body elections that will take place in March at primary and secondary schools across the country.
“It is very important that parents participate in their children’s school governing body elections and are also informed about the candidates making themselves available for selection. Parents should also not hesitate to make themselves available for selection, seeing as the success of a school governing body depends on the expertise of the people from which it is compiled,” says Carien Bloem, AfriForum’s Project Coordinator for Education.
AfriForum launched a comprehensive campaign that deals with important information that parents need to know regarding the coming school governing body elections.
