AfriForum submitted documents to the Hawks on Monday, 13 November 2017 that expose alleged cadre deployment in Kranskop, KwaZulu-Natal. This follows after a whistle-blower from the Department contacted AfriForum in this regard.
Documents point to alleged falsification of among other a senior certificate and various college certificates, as well as that people were appointed who allegedly did not comply with the advertised minimum requirements.
“It is unacceptable that cadre deployment happens and political appointments are being made; more so if this happens in the Department of Justice. Our judiciary system should not be influenced by political agendas. It is for this reason that AfriForum has created a platform where whistle-blowers can come forward to expose corruption such as this,” says Eugene van Aswegen, AfriForum’s Provincial Coordinator for KwaZulu-Natal.
